Achilles Tendonitis

Achilles Tendonitis:  The Achilles tendon connects the calf muscle to the heel bone.  This is the largest tendon in the body.  Injury to this tendon is very common. When this happens that area of the leg can become stiff or experience a burning sensation.  Treatment of this condition may involve the use of anti-inflammatory painkillers, compression, or use of inserts or strategies to protect the tendon.
