Calluses

Calluses: This is a condition where the skin on the foot becomes thickened due to pressure or repeated rubbing from footwear.  Calluses may continue to increase in size over time and may become painful. They can also progress to wounds in patients with certain medical conditions.   “Bathroom Surgery” is not advisable as this may result in cuts or infection.  We can evaluate the cause of the callus and recommend not only a treatment for the condition but also options to address the underlying cause.  If the cause is not addressed the callus may return.
